'L' is not for 'love' but rather something else...
February 17, 2007
Valentines has been and gone for another year. I could stop writing there because that's how my Valentines Day went but I did get a lovely stuffed moo-cow...at least I got something!!! It's a day of reflection for me: a chance to think of those missed opportunities, wasted opportunities, potential opportunities, and those opportunities which never quite worked out. I think of my numerous shortcomings and how there's nothing positive I offer to anybody. To all you lovebirds out there I hope you all scored Wednesday night!!!
Bought tickets yesterday to another MSO performance: Wizard of Oz at the Regent Theatre. Will attend with three others from work. It'll be the first weekend after the beginning of Uni so I'll probably need a relaxing night out! The folks are also heading out for a three week adventure that weekend so it means doing own ironing again...damn it!
I don't usually write good things about any programs I've used but these two have proven to be a Godsend. The first one is called Navicat. Admittedly not one that would be used by most readers of this site as it's used to connect and manage MySQL databases. Can now do (almost) everything to this sites databases from this application. Without Navicat involved a visit to my hosts webpage, logging in to two pages then operating through a slowish web interface. The second program has proven to be quite useful for managing all those email addresses: POP Peeper. It quite happily sits in the background checking Gmail, Hotmail, my ISPs POP3, and the numerous addresses for my two domains. Instead of my email client handling some twenty addresses I've found POP Peeper incredibly useful in previewing email/spam then using my client to retrieve the worthy stuff. Oh, did I mention it's free?!!
Just over one week remaining...
