four weeks of catch-up...

May 2, 2007

Figured it was time to write something else here as it has been over a month. Can't really think of anything to write, nothing of substance anyway. To use a cliche (forgive me!): 'I wish I had a dollar' for every time I've contemplated shutting this site down because I really can't be frigged! At least I've managed to keep up to date with my movies!

So, what has happened lately? Given a month has passed I'm a bit hazy as to what has happened.

Cricket World Cup win. No surprises that Australia won. I wonder how this Cup will be remembered? The murder of the Pakistani coach was probably the low-light (even more so if you're Bob Woolmer!).

Another American school shooting. As horrible as it is it comes as no real surprise. After the shooting I was reading the LA Times and NY Times and came across several posts in the papers forums from readers who suggested that the death toll would've been much less if students could carry guns to College. Their reasoning was that armed students could've taken down the shooter. It wasn't just one post, several suggested this option. At this point I stopped reading: the mentality of some people just astounds me...couldn't decide whether to laugh at the posts or cry for every American student. The Second Amendment - what a great idea.

Big Brother 2007 starts. Enough said. Move on shall we?

A few steps closer to getting a new puppy dog. It's an exciting time because the Olds can't decide on a breed yet. Mum wants a small one, dad wants a big one. I see a solution: just get two and I'd be doubly happy!

Went for my annual doctors appointment. As per usual I get the "you're too fat" lecture!!! Not in those exact words but the context still remains. First comment from him was "you're looking happy"...was obviously before he charged me $99.70 (including a flu shot). It's nice to be told I'm "looking happy" - a bit different how I'm feeling on the inside but that's another story!

Wisdom Tooth is starting to annoy me again. Too scared to visit a dentist so I'll ignore it. In a couple of days it'll be fine again.

Girls still shit me! Nothing much has changed there this month. Still left scratching my head trying to figure them out. Maybe girls are completely rational creatures and I'm the one with the problem?

That's it for the moment, if anything comes to mind over the next couple of days I'll amend this.
