woohoo! semester one (almost) finished...
June 1, 2007
I've been capped by Optus with a few hours left in the month, since I can't actually do anything worthwhile online I may as well write something for my diary. Once again I've managed not to write something for a month.
Has been a pretty good fortnight by my standards. I'm overly suspicious of good weeks, they're abnormal. I get the feeling there's going to be a catch somewhere along the line: like if people are being nice they must eventually want something.
The Olds went out Monday car shopping. Didn't bother going because I figured the way dad is with money he'll drive to a dozen dealerships looking for anyway to save an extra dollar on a petrol cap. You can only imagine my surprise when I got a call at lunch time from mum asking me to transfer some money online for them because they bought a new Pajero. Dad was happy with the offer made and signed then and there. They pick it up next Thursday. I asked them later that night if they had any intention of getting a car today and the reply was "no, just wanted some ideas". I thought I was bad impulse buying a new hard-disk or a new shirt! Will miss the Fairlane, it was beautiful to drive. The Fairlane was $45000 when we bought it and was traded in at $5500!!! Cars aren't a good investment!!!
First exam is next week. Not too worried about it but it's another one where all word throughout the semester is done on computer but the exam using pen and paper. The following two exams are spread out over the next fortnight. After that it's a month holidays. Despite not having Uni will keep my regular work hours but spend some time at the gym. Have a follow up doctors appointment this time next month and I must have lost something or I'll get my butt kicked!!!
Thank God for UK Big Brother. Fortunately one version of the series is interesting. Same can be said about last year - Aussie Big Brother was shit but the British version fantastic thanks to their choice of housemates. We seem to put in the same sort of housemates every year, UK version has put in 52yo and 60yo women and tweaked little things like putting the oven in the bedroom, the fridge in the backyard and bath in the loungeroom! But will they please vote out Charley she's driving me insane! Laura to win!
That's it for another month! Will go stand infront of the fire - it's freezing in my room!!!
