five cents can buy so much...

What a week!

Remind me never to do group assignments again. Fluked and bulshitted my way through our demonstration scoring 15/17, I did all the work on this one but still needed to share points with the second member (which is okay because I felt sorry for him). The third member is hopefully on his way back to wherever tiny island he came from after getting in trouble with immigration. Our written report which was due last week has been approved for an extension until mid-July after the screwing around. It's only a short report of ~1500 words so I could knock that up overnight but this time I'll let the other guy do something.

Last week also saw the one year anniversary of my Uncle Barry's passing. Although we (as in extended family) didn't do anything to remember I spared some thought for my much loved uncle. I think everybody we meet can unltimately shape the person we become and I know he impacted on my life...shame I never got to tell him that.

Swine flu is making all the headlines at the moment. Am I worried? Nope. I think the media love a good story like this, a little bit of panic was never bad for headlines and selling papers. Saw one student walking around campus with a face mask, maybe an overreaction but he may have the last say when he's the only one sitting exams because the rest of us are in quarantine!

Saw a girl I used to attend high school with tonight on the train, first time I've seen her in ten years. She's a bit of a stunner now but given she used to pick on me she's still as ugly as fuck! I would like to say I was secretly hoping the train would hit her but I don't hold a grudge!!!

What's with 1.25L Coke being $3.05 and 2L Coke being $3.10? Hmm...give you one guess which I bought?
