Dad has been cleaning out his study and is finding all sorts of junk. He found a booking confirmation from my 18th at the Hard Rock Cafe and a mountain of old yearly Frankston council magazines dating back to the late 70s. Really interesting looking through some of that stuff to see how things have changed. There were photos of places before development, shops which don't exist any more, phone numbers when they were seven digits, but one thing that hasn't changed are the dodgy Frankston councillors and the requirement to pay for car parking.

An ex-girlfriend contacted me via Facebook a couple of weeks ago. Very much a surprise and kinda weird but it was awesome hearing from her. Sure things didn't work out between us all those years ago but it's nice knowing there's no animosity even though the break up was amicable. How things change: she's now married and I continue to plod through life!

Funny, I have more success with ex-girlfriends than I do with chicks I meet in this millennium! Maybe life was less complicated with different priorities back then? Lately I seem to meet freaks, liars and hornbags!!! Most guys would probably be pretty damn happy with one of those types!

Imagine my surprise when the little bastard from that much hated group assignment last semester appeared in one of my classes this semester. I would've shot myself had I ended up doing another assignment with that twat. Fortunately been paired up with an Aussie who appears very reliable and genuinely nice. And the lecturer for that subject is an Aussie too...happy days! Bring on the High Distinction!

Monty has come down with Kennel Cough. No idea where he got it from because he's never around other dogs. Having said that his cough began the day after his last visit to the Vet so we suspect he contracted it from there. A weeks worth of expensive tablets and hopefully he won't sound like he's choking to death after every dozen steps. Poor Woofs!

Reminder to others: when taking the garbage out at night it's a good idea to turn the light on otherwise you may not notice the possum sitting quietly on the bin lid. Little bastard scared me to death!!!

Did everybody share yesterday's joy of 12:34:56 on the 7/8/9? Unfortunately I slept through it. Shame really. Perhaps with the marvels of modern science I'll still be around in another thousand years to see it again!
