a not so happy happysnap...

Oh what a week! I'm still adjusting to being 31, what I could've endured last week only exhausts me now.
I would dearly love Tattersall's to have a ticket-checking system online where you could enter the tickets serial number and have them check for a win. I received quite a few lotto tickets for my birthday and I have no idea how it all works. I know you check off the numbers but all the possible combination's and prize divisions with supplementary numbers is too confusing for a moron like me. I could potentially throw out a ticket that might be worth something. Think I’ll take them to the outlet and let them scan it.
Went and had my licence renewed today. Stuck with another despicable photo for ten years. Paid my $119 for another ten years and for the privilege of looking like a douche. Do VicRoads intentionally take dodgy photos to embarrass us? It’s such a busy place, all the poor learner drivers come in to sit their exams and walk out again with a tester to see if they know their road rules. It’s such a shit car park at this particular office, I can pretty much guarantee some people have failed their test before they even hit the road.
Recently spent a few hours converting all my saved Year 11 and 12 (1995-96) to modern-day formats. Turned out to be a real bitch of a task because Microsoft doesn't support Works 4 anymore and the files couldn't be read or converted. Took me ages to find that particular version of Works online (sorry Microsoft, I admit to pirating here), even the most recent version couldn't read those old files. I could've extracted the text but many documents contained diagrams which I wanted to preserve. Finally found the OLD version. Took hours to convert some hundred documents. I've only had a quick read of my major assessment tasks (CAT's) and I'm ashamed. I couldn't spell for shit and some things weren't clearly written (much like this entire site!). To think my high school graduation depended on the quality of these documents I'm surprised that I passed! I thought computers had spell checkers back then...I must be mistaken! Will have a read of some others over the next few days to see what other goodies I can dig up!
It only dawned on me this morning that I was in Paris exactly ten years ago. I can’t believe how quick that time has gone. I’ll have to fish out my diary and have a read to see exactly what I was getting up to. Such fond memories of that place and looking forward to returning (under different circumstances). That sure was one life changing trip!
Was mum’s birthday yesterday and her twin came down from Queensland for a few days. They’re a strange lot up there, they talk funny and don’t even know it! I reckon we Aussies don’t have an accent but Queenslanders sure do eh?
A once close friend has gone completely AWOL for almost twelve months: no emails, calls or SMS. Recently discovered she found herself a boyfriend. Congratulations, very happy for you and hope things work out but don’t come crying back if things turn to shit because I really don’t care. I’m over being a disposable rock: there when you need me and forgotten when not.
Just realised that it has been five months since I've backed up these databases. Should probably do that after adding this entry. Not that I'd lose much with the frequency I add updates!
Adding this entry just happened to be the 120,000th time my site has been accessed since 2003. Surprisingly it was me by a few seconds, the 120,001th visitor was a Googlebot!
Early night for me.
